thought for today
Epaphroditus is an intriguing character, as many of the people with a cameo in Paul's letters are. It seems he came to Paul as an envoy to give some news about the Church in Philippi (Paul being at this point in Rome or Ephesus depending on your point of view) but became ill delaying his return. I think Paul really trusted him to walk with integrity, like the Psalm encourages us and Joseph demonstrates in Genesis 39. Paul seems to think that not many of us manage this consistently (everyone looks out for their own interests!), such a walk can only be done when we are aware of God by our side.
